For over 25 years, Peter Wesley Brown has remained a standout photographer in fashion, luxury, travel and food circuits. From celebrities and models to entertainment moguls and the lifestyles that follow them, Brown has been there, capturing the light every step of the way.
Brown began his career at Sotheby's auction house in London, where he photographed fine art and subsequently published a three volume book on the Chinese Porcelain collection at the Top Kapi Museum in Istanbul, Turkey. Art was a natural foray into fashion, and Peter quickly established himself in London working in the mid to late 80's with the new avant garde magazines such as The Face, Blitz and ID.
Over the next 10 years Brown's career as a professional fashion photographer flourished in Paris, Milan, and Sydney. He was at the end of every runway and was hired by top designers and stylists the world over.
While on assignment in Los Angeles, Brown fell in love with the light and landscapes of the West Coast and decided to relocate for the next 15 years. During his time in LA, Brown has added name after name to his portfolio including such celebrities as Charlize Theron, Mandy Moore, Paris and Nicky Hilton, Pink, Daisy Fuentes, Nadia Valesquez, Princess Marie Chantelle of Greece, Lady Victoria Hervey and rising stars Beau Garrett and Abigail Clancy among others. Peter has also been featured in a number of TV appearances including BBC's "Clothes Show" and more recently, "Britains Next Top Model", "The Janice Dickenson Modeling Agency", Living TV's "Beauty and the Best" and Australia's Granada TV's "Runway to LA".
His passion for travel led him to The Bahamas and the Caribbean where he worked with Island Records founder Chris Blackwell and his portfolio of luxury resorts in Jamaica, Island Outpost. Brown recently completed the Bob Marley family's new Marley Resort & Spa in Nassau, Bahamas and the infamous Pink Sands on Harbour Island, Bahamas.
Brown currently resides in Los Angeles. Camera in hand.
